Every September, the Tower Grove Pride Festival is held in beautiful Tower Grove Park. St. John’s hosts a booth at this home-grown family-friendly event. Tower Grove Pride celebrates the idea that love is love and brings together the community in support of one another. The festival empowers local artists, crafters, small businesses, services, grassroots efforts, and nonprofits connected to the LGBTQIA+ community. It is a wonderful opportunity to be surrounded by LGBTQIA+ friends, straight allies, and others who care about social justice issues. It’s a great way to learn about the importance of Pride and what it means to the LGBTQIA+ community to share personal aspects of their identities.
