The Greeter and Usher ministry is a vital part of the worship service.
Greeters welcome everyone on Sunday mornings with a smile and a warm “Good morning!” They introduce themselves to guests, offer them a bulletin for the worship service, and answer any questions they might have. They make sure that everyone who walks through the doors at St. John's feels welcome and included.
Ushers perform duties such as collecting the offering, and directing the flow of parishioners to communion.
After the service, both greeters and ushers make sure that guests are invited to the coffee hour. Additionally, they pick up used bulletins, return prayer books and hymnals to the pew racks, and make certain that the church is ready for the next service.
Both youth and adults are welcome to participate in this ministry.
