Children and Youth

Sunday School 2022 has started!

Our “Sunday School” is Godly Play – a Montessori-style curriculum for children 5 years old and up. The lessons are designed to teach liturgy and Bible stories in a way that enhances the child’s authentic experience of God.
Children ages 5-10 may attend Godly Play at 11:20 a.m. A children’s procession leaves the main church after Communion for the Godly Play room.  For more information about Godly Play, click here or on the logo above, or contact Susan Brower-Toland at suescbt@gmail.com.

In addition to our elementary Christian Education program, St. John’s also offers education for the middle grade youths. Our Youth Sunday School includes prayer, scripture readings, spirituality, and the study of the Episcopal Church. The youth are actively engaged in Bible study and prayer in a way that not only connects to Godly Play and main-church habits, but also expands opportunities for more cognitively appropriate questions and answers.

For more information about the Christian Education program for children and youth, contact Rodney Malone at rodneymalone3@gmail.com.
