Learning Together (for Adults)
From September through May, on Sunday mornings, adults engage in studying the Bible, Christian theology, and spiritual practices in a variety of ways, led by knowledgeable lay leaders and clergy. Sundays 9:15-10:15 am and other times. Childcare is available starting at 9:00 am, in the Nursery on the first floor of the Wainwright Wing. Contact Dave Malek or Brent Brower-Toland for more information.
Weekly Lectionary Bible Study
Brent Brower-Toland and others facilitate a weekly lectionary study at 9:15 am on Sundays. This weekly lectionary study group meets in the Chapel (in the Wainwright Wing) ends in time for choir members to rehearse. We read and discuss the lectionary together as a means to deepen our engagement with the lessons for the week as part of a worshiping community. We will read through the lectionary readings for Sunday and discuss them as we go. One of the readings will be selected for further reflection by Lectio Divina. The primary goal of discussion is devotional. No advance preparation is necessary. You may join this Bible Study anytime. For more information, please contact Brent.

Throughout the year, especially during Lent and Advent, small groups of all ages form around Bible study, prayer, group discussion, fellowship, and meals. Current Small Groups include Book Club (monthly), Prayer Groups (weekly) and the Christian Parenting Group (monthly).
On the second floor of the Wainwright Wing contains a variety of Episcopal and other related spiritual, devotional, and educational materials available to read at St. John's or to borrow.
