Information on City Schools

St. John's, Tower Grove is a faith partner with Horace Mann Elementary School, a wonderful elementary school located on Juniata, between Oak Hill and Roger. Pastor Teresa's children will attend Mann when they are old enough.
There is now a larger group working on providing information about all of the wonderful schools in the City of St. Louis for parents, families, and students!!! Please visit
St. Louis City Schools: A Guide for Urban Minded Parents

"Saint Louis is an amazing place to raise children. There are excellent schools in the city, but navigating the process and understanding the options can feel daunting. This guide is the product of families collaborating to help each other and improve the city we love."

Information on South City Elementary Schools - By Parents, For Parents

On Saturday, September 21, 2013 and again on Saturday, November 9, 2013 parents from St. John's presented information to other parents about elementary schools located in the neighborhoods around Tower Grove Park (roughly, our "parish" community). The documents from the meeting on September 21 (and a new document about Children with Special Needs from November 9) may be downloaded below. This information was compiled by parents in the St. John's community to share with other parents in the St. John's community and the wider South St. Louis community. Questions? Would you be interested in participating in a future information session? Please contact Tony Balamo.
