Teaching
Jesus' disciples often called him rabbi, or teacher. As Christians, we continue to learn from Jesus - as we discover him in Scripture, in worship, in our experiences, and in conversation. The journey of faith is life-long and requires life-long nurturing, or learning. At St. John's, teaching and learning takes many forms. Christian Education Opportunities for Adults and Children are offered from September - May. Adult Education takes place on Sunday from 11:30 - 12:20 p.m.; there are also mid-week Adult Education events throughout the year - Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the St. John's Library. See 2008 Adult Education for the current calendar.
Children’s Christian Formation Opportunities A Children’s Service is held at the 5:00 p.m. Eucharist in the Main Church on the first Sunday of each month. Starting in April, the Children's Service will be offered on the FIRST and THIRD Sundays of each month. (Last year this service was part of the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist.) Each First Sunday Children’s Service will be preceded by a kid-friendly service project and followed by a potluck in The Parish Hall (starting by 5:45 p.m. and ending by 7:00 p.m.) After dinner, the kids are ready for bed!
