Adult Education

A weekly Lectionary Bible Study takes place on Thursday evenings, from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m., beginning January 7. You don't need to come every week, but it helps to have the same people commited to the group over the long term in order to build community. please contact Pastor Teresa at teresa@towergrovechurch.org. Sunday Adult Education Schedule - Fall 2010:

Beginning on October 3, 2010, Adult Christian Formation will take place from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Childcare will be available during Adult Christian Formation and throughout the morning, from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon.

To Travel Together will be offered from October 3 - December 5, 2010. See description below. Other programs and curricula will run concurrently. Please offer your opinions about Adult Christian Formation offerings before August 12, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. when there will be an open Adult Christian Formation Planning Meeting in the Parish Hall. Chaplain Jeffrey Deutsch, with Pastor Teresa Danieley, will lead a 10 week course called To Travel Together this Fall, on Sunday mornings from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. This course is for people interested in confirmation, baptism, or reception into the Episcopal Church, or reaffirmation of baptismal vows. The dates of To Travel Together for this fall will be October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14, 21, 28, and December 5.

Jeffrey Deutsch holds a Master's of Divinity from Yale and an Anglican Certificate of study from Berkeley Divinity School. As well, Jeffrey trained as a chaplain at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. Jeffrey served as a hospice chaplain for Samaritan Care Hospice and developed a training program for volunteer caregivers for Deaconess Hospital. This is the fifth year that Chaplain Deutsch presents his curriculum for catechumens called " To Travel Together." The goal of this course is not to answer questions about the Episcopal Church. Rather, it allows participants to form their personal questions for own their formation as committed Christians.

"Late Night with Mother Teresa" at MoKaBe's will resume on Wednesday January 27, from 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. This is time for open conversation and fellowship.

More intensive Adult Education offerings are available through the Diocese of Missouri's Episcopal School for Ministry.
