2009 Adult Education

Chaplain Jeffrey Deutsch will lead a 10 week course called To Travel Together starting Sunday, January 25, continuing February, 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. To Travel Together is especially for those interested in baptism, confirmation, or reception into the Church. Please contact Jeffrey for more information at jeffreyd@swbell.net. (Baptisms, Confirmations, & Receptions, will take place at the Great Vigil of Easter at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday evening, April 11, 2009.) Jeffrey Deutsch holds a Master's of Divinity from Yale and an Anglican Certificate of study from Berkeley Divinity School. As well, Jeffrey trained as a chaplain at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. Jeffrey served as a hospice chaplain for Samaritan Care Hospice and developed a training program for volunteer caregivers for Deaconess Hospital. This is the fifth year that Chaplain Deutsch presents his curriculum for catechumens called " To Travel Together..." The goal of this course is not to answer questions about the Episcopal Church. Rather, it allows participants to form their personal questions for own their formation as committed Christians.
