ECM at SLU

St. John's sponsors Episcopal Campus Ministry at St. Louis University - a informal Christian community for worship, fellowship, service, and spiritual exploration. All are welcome, especially LGBTQ students. Wherever you are on your faith journey, you have a place at ECM at SLU.

Funding for our peer minister is provided by the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri. For Spring 2010, our peer minister will be Anne Lischwe (Class of 2010). Anne's e-mail is alischwe@slu.edu. Our chaplain, the Rev. Teresa Mithen, may be contacted at teresa@towergrovechurch.org or 314-503-7415 (cell).

SERVICE PROJECTS:

Join volunteers from St. John's at a Birthday Party for Children in Detention at the City Detention Center, located just north of SLU twice a year. The next Birthday Party will take place Friday, March 5, 2010. Carpool will leave from the BSC turnabout on Laclede at 6:30 p.m.

SLU students are also welcome to volunteer at St. John's Peace Meal Project from 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. every Saturday at the St. John's Parish Hall, 3664 Arsenal Street, a half block west of Grand. Contact Scott Splater at ssplater@yahoo.com to find out more about volunteering. Feel free to come by and share a meal any Saturday! All are welcome!

WORSHIP SERVICES: When classes are in session, we hold services every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Services are usually Mass (holy communion). Sometimes we do Night Prayer instead. Please join us and bring a friend! The majority of our services during the semester will be held on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. in BSC 253D. See you there! Services resume Sunday, January 10, at 7:00 p.m. in BSC 253D.

OFFICE HOURS: Will not take place this spring. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Pastor Teresa, please contact her at teresa@towergrovechurch.org or 314-503-7415.
