ECM at SLU
St. John's is the official sponsor of Episcopal Campus Ministry at St. Louis University - Episcopal Christians coming together for worship, fellowship, service, and spiritual exploration. All are welcome, especially LGBTQ students. Episcopal students from SLU worship on Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Rockwell House, an Episcopal Campus Ministry Center near Washington University, followed by dinner afterward.
Wherever you are on your faith journey, you have a place at Episcopal Campus Ministry! Please contact the chaplain at Rockwell House, the Rev. Joe Chambers, at therevjoe@rockwellhouse.org or 314-489-2342.
SERVICE PROJECTS:
Join volunteers from St. John's at a Birthday Party for Children in Detention at the City Detention Center, located just north of SLU twice a year. The next Birthday Party will take place on the first Friday in March. Carpool will leave from the BSC turnabout on Laclede at 6:30 p.m.
SLU students are also welcome to volunteer at St. John's Peace Meal Project from 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. every Saturday at the St. John's Parish Hall, 3664 Arsenal Street, a half block west of Grand. Contact Scott Splater at ssplater@yahoo.com to find out more about volunteering. Feel free to come by and share a meal any Saturday! All are welcome!
WORSHIP SERVICES: SLU students worship at Rockwell House. Students meet at the turn-about next to the Busch Student Center (BSC) at 6:15 p.m. sharp for a ride to Rockwell House. We return by 8:15 p.m.
